Justin Bieber Again In a Big Trouble

Justin Bieber has come under fire after promoting a new ‘activism’ merch for his Simple Gospel clothing line as many people feel he’s conveniently profiting from social justice. Let’s get into it.  Justin Bieber has undoubtedly made his mark in the fashion world, especially after having dropped his Drew House fashion brand alongside good friend Ryan Good.  Back in 2020, Justin also dropped his newest line called Simple Gospel with another friend Josh Mehl and has just debuted an all-new slogan attached to the brand, but the attempt at activism isn’t sitting too well with enthusiasts.

Justin Bieber Racism is evil

On Wednesday, Justin took to Instagram to share photos of himself fashioning some pieces from the new line, which include a black hoodie and matching joggers with the slogan “Racism Is Evil,” in bold white lettering alongside the Simple Gospel logo. Justin initially posted a series of photos with the caption, “Racism is evil. Sunday noon,” but after intense backlash from fans in the comments who called him out for “profiting of social justice, ”Justin quickly changed it to a PSA that reads, “100% of our proceeds will be donated to a designated black-owned start-up in Los Angeles, California.” Still, many aren’t too fond of the fact that Justin’s sweats are going for $200, like this person who tweeted, “Justin thought he ended racism by selling $200 sweats.” Another upset fan tweeted in a sarcastic tone, writing, “I think it was very nice of Justin Bieber to end racism by wearing a hoodie.” In general, it seems fans are simply just confused with the way Justin approaches activism, as this isn’t the first time he has come under fire this year for similar actions. After dropping his Justice album back in Merch, many fans were outraged after noticing that he included a snippet of Martin Luther King jr.’s speech as an include. Before the album’s release, Justin took to Twitter to clear up his intentions and to explain the album’s meaning, writing, “I know that I cannot simply solve injustice by making music but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and each other that we are that much closer to being united.

He went on to add QUOTE, “This is my doing a small part. My part. I want to continue the conversation about what justice looks like so we can continue to heal. Upon the album’s release, the decision to include the speech was immediately labeled “tone-deaf” by many as the rest of the recorded brain love songs dedicated to his wife Hailey Bieber, having nothing to do with social justice. At the time of reporting, Justin has yet to respond to criticism stemming from his upcoming clothing drop and while his intentions might've been pure, his Biebers have spoken.  To see what Hailey Bieber had to say about constantly being labeled as “Justin’s wife”, click right over here for the full rundown. So be sure to let me know if you guys agree with the criticism surrounding Justin’s new merch, or if you don’t see any harm in promoting this messaging.
